After School Programs

Inner City Youth Ministry is committed to building healthy, resilient families and communities, establishing healthy relationships, improving literacy outcomes and addressing food insecurity. ICYM runs a variety of after school programs offered at various times throughout the school year. Our after school programs are implemented in partnership with local schools and are always free.

Fit & Fun Girls

Fit and Fun Girls is a small group program designed for girls in grades 5-8. This after school program is designed to give the girls a safe, fun environment to talk, have a snack, enjoy time with friends and safe and caring adults. Throughout the program, activities and field trips are designed to encourage confidence, healthy relationships, goal setting and healthy choices. The group is designed to follow a small cohort through their middle school years. Students meet with and learn from female women leaders and entrepreneurs in their community with the goal of the girls feeling empowered to lead, and become healthy & confident women.

Reading Club

Reading Club is a small group program for students in grades K-2. This after school program is designed for early readers and includes a short story time and a themed activity/craft. Each student at the program receives their own copy of the book each week, in order to build their home library, with the goal of improving access to age-appropriate books and developing a love of reading.
