Inner City Youth Ministry assists Pennies and Sparrows with running the Kids Lead program. This innovative program is designed to get kids excited about and involved in community development. Over the course of 12 weeks, youth aged 7-12 learn about community development and the needs in their community. Participants tour local community service organizations and non-profits and hear a project ‘pitch’ from each organization. With support from experienced adults, kids choose a project and work to put their plan into action! Youth who complete the 12-week program receive a Kidstart Certificate in Community Development at a graduation ceremony.
